    kill switch

u guys think its a good idea to run a kill switch through the fuel pump... what i was thinking is putting an ON and OFF switch in it so the car would only turn on if i flick the switch to the on position...

Yes.....its called a fuel kill switch and have been done countless times over in the Integra forums. But make sure the switch is well hidden otherwise might as well not have one.

That would be the point of a kill switch. Turn the switch on and you have a complete circuit. Turn it off and it opens the circuit.

I wouldn't reccomend this at all, think about it you are driving down the highway at 80MPH and all of asoden your car shuts off, you cant steer, and you can't brake>What just happened?Your fuel cut off switch just went out and you are pretty much fucked. If you still want the cut off switch I would highly recommend bying a better wattage switch.

If you want a cut off switch? Do a starter kill switch, It's fairly easy when you think about it.Also make sure you have a relay when doing this if you are going to have a long wire to the switch.I will be doing a DIY on this as soon as I get a litle bit more money .

I was also wondering if ther's a way to stop from switching gears in an auto, I mean like so no one can put it in neutral and push it away.

If the switch on the fuel cut switch goes bad,you wont get any fuel and the car will lock up, and who said anything about the speed limit?

car will lock up huh? lmao.... Yeah so everytime someone runs out of gas they can't steer or anything. That's the first time I've ever heard that, and how ironic that years ago they didn't have power steering or power assisted brakes. Don't listen to this dude, if all else fails and your switch dies, pull over, disconnect it from the switch ,connect the two wires, wrap it with something so it doesn't ground out and go home.
