Ok i have a bell solo wireless detector. I think its a good radar, but recently i notice cops using there guns and my radar would not go off. Have the cops added a new signal.

Your detector is probably X, K, and Ka, like 99% of all of them.

Rumour is that police have started testing Ku radar guns.

Also it could have been Laser.

Well, you have to understand the difference in Radar and Laser. The Laser that they use now is not the same as the radar that they use. So maybe thats whats happening. he's using a laser gun (lol).


Get a Viper Radar Detector They are the best. pick up Radar and Laser and if you get a ticket and prove the detector was on, they pay the ticket.

I have heard of one that the "sensor" mounts on the front of the car, like in the grill and then wires into your stereo. Anyone seen these?

Its off tell its already trained on you and only on for a second. Whats that give you 20 seconds to throw your stash out the window before the cop puts his interceptor in drive and pulls you over or even less when he radios the cop ahead of you to wave you over to the side of the road for a ticket.

Just a point of advice... dont speed on public roads. Radar detectors are ILLEGAL to operate in a moving veihical in most states.

I wouldnt trust wikipidia. The cops will ream you here in AK if your running one dashboard, visor, windsheild.. wherever you have it. possesing such a device with the intention to surcomvent state/FEDERAL law enforcment is illegal. That wasnt even the point anyway. Some detectors might refund your speeding ticket but they wont fix your obstruction of justice criminal case. And dont think for a second a cop in a bad mood wont screw you over if they see one even if it isnt illegal in your state, they will find something wrong or make something up.

They dont work, it pisses cops off and is basicly admiting that you speed when they see one, and its juvinile to race around on city streets that are populted by other cars. Everyone knows where the cops post up and do speed traps and if you dont know where the cops are posted then you probly dont know the road well enuf to be speeding there in the first place.

And if your detector didn't go off it's becuase they are using the laser atlanta gun. It's UNDETECTABLE by ANY radar detector on the market. Even my Valentine one doesnt pick it up. It's a New gun and it's being used on RT 3 near my house. It sucks but yeah.

They are illegal. Think for a sec what a cop would do if they aim a laser at you only to get a scrambled signal. Hm....would they laugh it off or pursue you?
