Weird Brake Lights

Ok, well i got home from work today, went inside, sat around for 2 hrs, came outside and noticed my brake lights were on.

They werent on when i left work. I checked to make sure my lights were off, which they were. Then i pressed the brakes a couple times and figured out they werent just on like when i have my lights on, they were lit up like i was on the brake.

I dunno what caused this, but it's pretty weird to me. Anybody ever had this happen and any smart ideas as to potential problems/causes?

I have the harnesses unplugged for now in the trunk. PLEASE HELP MY POSSESSED BRAKE LIGHTS GO AWAY!!!!

never mind, found the culprit.

I found the remains of what used to be the rubber piece that goes on the brake pedal arm and pushes the brake switch in all over my floor mat.

i still don't understand how that happened. Tis' all good now though, plugged the hole with something else.
