this is what it said in the auction:

*Note bulbs are not to be used as a primary source of light.*

so i'm thinking they won't be as bright.

led's are really bright to look at, but do not project nearly as far as normal headlights. there are no DOT certified led headlights for a good reason. these would look bright if you are outside of the car, but they are not safe to use at night.

Leds can be pretty bright. No HID's, but my Buddy has a M5 with a Luxeon led ( i think) in his angel eyes and with the eyes alone it gives decent visibility. But like I said it doesn't touch HID's.

what? i remember reading in popular mechanics while taking a dump a week or two ago that LED headlights are really new, expensive, exclusive technology right now... as in, it has been mass produced in a economical way yet?

I see these all the time
All the ricer integras around me have these in their hi-beams
Projects no light, but makes the area light up as bright as if there was a light there.
They leave their hi-beams on all the time and it looks "cool" especially with the yellow housed reflector

if you look in the title it says DRL=daytime running lights. So that alone says they would not light up the road worth anything
