Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

whats the pt bar? i thought the issues were between the st(suspension techniques) or progress?

Either way the ST bar bolts right up i believe.

I have the progress bar and you only have to drill into the lips of the crossmember not directly into the crossmember itself. Its not hard to do man. If I could figure it out so can you.

Edit: You do not need the EX crossmember

im guessing PT = Progress Technology

i have an LX and the progress bar is meant to be installed on ANY model, regardless of subframe. whether you have a DX, EX, or LX, you will still need to drill 4 holes into the subframe to mount the progress bar to the chassis

Ok, good to know. Is there any method to making sure you're in the right spot before drilling?

There's no real right or wrong spot. The lip of the crossmember extends far enough for you to drill into in a small area of the whole piece. Meaning you couldnt put the bracket in the middle of the crossmember because the lip of it doesnt extend out far enough...... When you get it along with the instructions it'll be pretty self explanatory to figure out what you have to do.

            Sweet. Thanks for the info.
How often do you hear a rattle between the exhaust and that sway bar?

Almost 24/7 only noticeable on idle really but its always rattling. But everybodys exhaust is mounted different so yours may or may not rattle.

i heard some of that heat wrap tape could pad it a bit to reduce the noise, what do you think?

                      another question:
I just looked at this bar. I thought I was ment to get a plate with it? Like:

... or is that for a different car... I'm not sure

Either way, i just wanted to make sure that I dont need this extra plate.
Now that I look at other pics it seems that the above pic is a different bar for a different car.

Where is the point of contact between bar and exhaust pipe?
