Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    HELP bleeding clutch problems

ok well i attempted to bleed the clutch after i just got done swaping in the f22b motor and my f22a1 trans. now i broke the bleeder valve on the slave and i went to the junk yard and got a new one. well ive been trying for the last hour to get it to work and its not working at all. its not getting pressure to the pedel at all. ive been doing it the way it the manual says to open it let the person push it down slowly and then closing it as they bring it back up. But no mater how long we do it it is still not getting any pressure. do you think the slave could be bad maybe? any assitance would be great thanks

did you check the level of the fluid in the clutch master cylinder resivoir??, if it is too low that can allow more air to get into the lines. Also make sure the person pushes the pedal down, and then you open the valve until no more bubbles are made, and then you close the valve, but make sure the person doesn't pull the pedal back up until you have closed the valve

method mentioned to me by 93accordEX: done it multiple times and it worked absolutely perfectly.

had a piece of rubber vac tubing on the bleeder, ran to the back end of a one-way check valve (i pulled it off a the intake of a junkyard car, its that little orange/white thing near the battery on the automatics)... then from the other side a ran a clear piece of tubing up into the top of the resevoir. each pump will push air/fluid thru the line and into the resevoir, each time you pull up itll suck fluid from the res. so itll keep recirculating the fluid back into the res. until all of the air is out.

things to make sure you dont do: dont open the bleeder too much, or air will suck back into it from aroudn the threads. only open it a little!!! and #2 make sure you dont pull the pedal back up while the bubbles are still at the bottom of the res... every time you pump, hold it down for a sec and wait for hte air to escape before pulling back up.
