Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

It is pretty easy to do yourself. You will see what needs to be taken out. There are 2 vacuum lines that you have to take out, one is on the drivers side of the IM and it gets a little piece of foam. The one that is on top of the tb, just put a cap on it. Other than that, you will see where the original hole is for the air box. You will have to increase that to a little bigger than the intake you have. Im sure someone will have pics or something of what im talkin about.

That short length rubber hose that's supplied with the AEM CAI system goes to the cam gear ventilation, why do this? Why not just attached a foam filter/breather of some kind and plug the hole on the intake piping. I'd rather keep my intake system free of carbon build-up etc and keep the max. potential performance of my engine.
Am I wrong or confused here? What you all think? I think AEM says to do this because their system wouldn't be legal if they didn't include these instructions. I plan to block off my EGR as well, for the same reasons.

you should hav just saved for an AEM that way you would actually get performance out of it thats why for now untill i can get an AEM or something alongs those lines i have the CAI filter and stock pipe so i only spent $5
