Turn up the boost F22A Turbo

Finally got my car running great at a safe 5psi of boost. But it does seem much and I want to up the boost, I have a manual boost controller so it tempting to turn a few turn and up the boost, but I'm not sure what my limit is so maybe this board can set me to the right boost level. It a daily driver 80miles back and forth to work.

My Current setup. F22a4 automatic with 135K miles
370cc injector, Apexi SAFC-v2, (removed 12:1 FMU), DSM side mount Intercooler. stock FPR@36psi, stock Fuel Pump@80psi, T25 Garrent Turbo with Boost and A/F Gauges. NKG Iridum (-2degree), new NKG wires, new OEM cap and rotor, new OEM distributor running on 93 octane fuel. stock cat conv and 2.5 inch cat back exhaust.

stock camshalf( dame schieder 264degree regrind camshalf the lope is too low to open and close 4 of the valve). 93 EX coupe ECU. Ingition Timming is stock at 15 degree. AEM cam gear is set at 0 degree, stock interal (spring, valves...)

    ----
I heard people have run up to 12psi on F22A block with stock internal? My dyno tech is on vacation and will not be back in a month, no other shop with dyno within 2 hours driving. With my setup can I run 10psi safe? I really broke now, so EMS and hodata is out of my reach. My goal is 200HP good enough vs a H22A swap accord. What setting I would need to change on higer boost how much ignition timming? what about camgear retard? how lean should I be running 10:1 a/f? what range should my O2 voltage .85v-.92v ??.
5psi can't keep up with those SI Civic..please help,

Thanks, 9-10psi is enough for me for now. I think the small T25 turbo can only do 12psi max. I'll save up for a front mount intercooler and maybe a t3/T4 turbo later when I got more money.

How would I know what condition my engine is in right now? would a compression check on each cylinder tell. what other test could I do??

150Whp-180whp is all I really want, And it is 135K miles on it and I plan to get a least 2 more year out of this engine so I would want it to last a bit longer.

fizzbob7 since i'm still on stock internal, block.. would 8psi be the safe side or i'm ok with 10psi??
I planning to set 5psi for street daily driver and 9psi at the track.

Also what type of idle should I be getting, I'm getting high around 1200RPM and it jump like crazy if my ac is on from 700RPM to 1500RPM when idle. so if I come come to a stop, idle will be around 1200RPM all the time, no need to step on the gas , just release the break and it zip off the line? what can be causing this?? Are turbo people suppose to get low idle or high idle? My first shop don't know jack about honda and i'm afrid they might have some vacum line hock up wrong, But I'm too dump to know which line does what.

turning up the boost, i would worry more about your auto transmission more than i would about the motor. just save up for a manual tranny swap for when the automatic goes - maybe an obvious check for a vacuum leak would be where you spliced your boost gauge hookup in?

thanks I will check for the vacum leak at the spice in the boost gauge. Currently the vacum line is running from the back of the intake manifold and to a T splitter to my blow off valve and my boost gauge. Is that a good vacum line to you? does the length matter much, it a bit long about anfeet of extra tubing? also does the tube diameter make a diff. I have a smaller tube going to the boost gauge while I have a bigger tube going to the blow off valve since the connector on it was bigger?

Stage I - street setup listed $2695.00, I did not get the intercooler, blow off valve, no a/f and boost gauge. And I was the first to get an turbo for an 90-93 accord from this site, maybe I was the test lab rat At 5-6psi intercooler and Blow off valve is not needed and you can add that in later, if you email him maybe he can do a deal around $2100-$2200. If we get a group buy maybe he will lower it down, just a thought.

Installation would be around $300-$400, and Tuning would like about $300. So yeah it would hit the $3000 if your lucky and has no problem. My has all sort of problem, since I went to a shitty shop and they force me to buy thing that I don't need like a AEM camgear( alway get the 6bolt one, my engine need a new head because the 3 bolt one will move on it own even if u tighten the bolt down to the max) 370cc injector and Apexi SAFC which add another $900 and required additional $ 400 tunning whith all of these add-on and it still run like crap, since it was running too rich(to much fuel) and the shop did not have a dyno machine. SO I spend a total of $4500 to get my turbo running. MAKE SURE U FIND A VERY GOOD SHOP THAT HAS DYNO MACHINE AND HAS DONE TURBO SETUP ON MANY HONDA. I try to save money and go to a local shop and end up spending way to much money and waisted over 6 weeks. A good shop can have u up and running in 1-2week.

Just sharing my experience, and being real there no such thing is slaping an a turbo and your car will fly. Not to scare u off, but having turbo is like taking care of a pregnate wife, u have to tend it it everyneed or your engine go bye bye. I did not think it was this much trouble, all my other turbo friend change oil every 2000 miles, and new spark plug every 4000 miles. and getting everything retune one you add or change your engine with add-on parts like bigger fuel pump, injector, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, port/polish.... With turbo Tuning is the most important An untune F22a running on 5psi turbo make only 130whp vs properly tune 170-180whp, with no change in the engine so Tuning is the key, IF you got a crappy tuner like me, You got 20-50hp just waiting to be found...

After getting the turbo up and running, I think our F22 axle and tranny can handle 170-180whp, but I could be wrong. Someone point that out, and I have not thought about that. ANy suggestion fizz?

How about the auto tranny? can it handle close to what the manual can? I was planning to boost like 7-8psi and wonder if my auto can handle it?
