Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    H22 pistons in H23?

    Would it be the same thing as putting H23 crank and rods in an H22. Would there be any gains?

    No, they are both 87mm bore.

    The H23 has a stroke of 95mm, just like the F22. Putting H23 pistons in an H22 would do nothing but lower your compression ratio.

      I want to put H22 pistons in an H23 block.

        Same thing. You might bump the compression up a little bit, but it's pointless.

            if your going boost do it.lower compression=

            edit:nvm.h22 into a h23 will raise your compression. h23 into h22 will lower it

              wont higher compression help with an N/A setup? because I have an extra block to mess with too.

                Pistons

                BORE
                H22A = 87mm/3.425
                H22A1 = 87mm/3.425
                H22A4 = 87mm/3.425
                H23A = 87mm/3.425
                H23A1 = 87mm/3.425

                They look like the same size. So in the end it will make a difference just depends if it is worth it or not.

                      Don't type s pistons come 87.5 bore? So they would work then and they have higher comp. too?!!?!!

                        yea, worse comes worse you can just hone it out a bit. but domed pistons ftw.

                          putting h22 pistons in a h23 block is pretty much like putting a f22 or h23 crank in a h22. Its been done and I have seen some nice results from it.

                            Except with a non-VTEC head.

                            This thread is chock so full of mis-information it should be deleted.

                              Right. I hope that everyone here knows that already though, but looking at stuff posted here already, maybe it needs to be made clear lol...
