Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    '89 Accord Options?

    Alright, I know this site is about the latter model Accords, but I'm wondering if someone has any idea about the 89's. Right now, I'm looking at getting an '89 LX that hasn't moved in about 5 years. I'm pretty sure I can get this thing for about $100 (4 flat tires, horribly stained interior, and has been sitting at the side of this guys drive way since 1999). Anyone know what my engine options are? I'm 90% sure the old 2.0L is useless, and I'm wondering if maybe an F22a/H23 would fit under there with little problem. Also, what would I need to do to convert from the auto to a manual transmission (would I need to find the center console from a manual, etc?)

      Thanks for the links. Both sites were very useful. I'm pretty sure I'm either going to get another A20A3, or a A18A1. Guess I'll look around and see what's available for each
