Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    H22 plans...

Ok guys since school destroyed my original mild build up on the H22. Iv decided to just put the motor in now with the timing belt conversion. But in a month or two I plan on buying a few bolt on parts.

I am looking for those best bang for your buck kind of mods. Like buying a megan or dc sprts header, cutting off the original collector and wlding on a 2 1/2 or even a 3" collector, with a custom 3" catback. I remember this was tested and that the 3" netted more hp than 2 1/2 cat back.

These are the kind of mods im looking for. Or any mods to increase the durablility and reliability of my engine.

    :Plans as of now:
-Cheap header cut at collector with 3" pipe welded on and a 3" flex pipe in original location. Continued onto a full 3" cat back.
-Either euro r intake mani? Or Stock with IABS removed.
    -Balnce shaft removal kit
-EGR Delete...not until tuned on p28
    -3" intake
    -Tb Coolant Bypass
    -62mm bbk throttle body
    -Weapn R throttle rotor
    -Polyurethane filled motor mounts

Lets compile all kinds of info on benificial mods for the H22 that are at least benificial...

you must be running some big turbo to run a 3" catback. who told you it would gain hp on a na motor? if it was like stroked with some beafy cams than yea 3" is good. but stick with the 2.5"

      euro r flows better

      70mm throttle body

Here is the link on Honda tehc, he gained 5hp going from skunk2 cat back to crushed bent 3". There have also been many threads about using cheap headers and changine the collector to 2 a/2 or to 3 inch.

After the collector, you want the piping to be as free flowing as possible. There is very little exhaust tuning you can do past the collector, It is just a restriction.
