Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    ? bout a muffler

    got a quick question. got pulled over cuz i have a 4 in. muffler. hey, bought it like that. well. i wanna change the muffler. my cuz did this for his mx6, sounds cool. he bought a flowmaster muffler and just added a regular tip. he explained that if it looks stock, u can fool alot of cops being haters out there. wut u all think or

    dont buy a flowmaster, its a waste. Well not a waste but expensive. Go to O'reillys and buy a two chamber Thrush muffler, exactly the same design. I heard one on a ford focus and they sound really really good. I assume this is the muffler your friend has, because i have a thrush muffler and i am going to weld a 2.5 inch tip on it.

        your friend got pulled over for having a 4" muffler because it was probably loud not because it looked aftermarket.

            here in florida they give you a ticket for having any sort of aftermarket exhaust although the actual law states is ok as long as you dpnt pass the DB level. but cops are dicks here and dont care.
