What do you guys think about the ECU chips they sell for the P13 on ebay? Do you guys really think they are worth the money or would I just be better off buying a V-AFC? I have a h22 and 5 speed with a 75 shot of NO2.

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Re: Ebay ECU chips?
Well that all depends, Do you know how to install the chip yourself? Would you know how to install the V-AFC yourself? Who will tune it? Is your engine/ecu usdm or jdm?Originally posted by hype8912

USDM P13 and JDM P13 programs are not interchanable. Some of the programs available for the USDM P13 are acutally decent. For the JDM they are not much of an improvement however they do remove the speed limiter and adjust your rev limit and Vtec engagement.
You could also get yourself a P28 and chip that with a program tuned to run the H22A. There's many options for you, I personally would stay away from the V-AFC. Esspecially if you have access to someone that can tune a P28 for your car on the Dyno. That makes all the difference.

I know how to install chips and wiring up a VAFC. The engine is a JDM and JDM ecu. I have access to a guy who does dyno tuning and is a hondata dealer. They charge 125 bucks an hour for wide band motec sensor or 110 for a regular sensor. What do you think the max rev on a stock h22 should be?Last edited by hype8912; 10-24-2003, 12:56 PM.

they're "okay", look at BustedLX's dynos of his H22 from a few weeks ago. Whatever you wind up doing, make sure you get it all tuned on a dyno....
