okay so i have came to the conclution that my h22a was a bad motor to begin with and now im going to rebuild it from nothing. i am wonder what the best products there are to mildly build the motor like what pistons or cams or valves, with out it costing to much money. im hopig to make roughtly 230-250 whp on a N/a motor. any help would be nice. thanks.

You should mention the components that are bad with your motor. This is a starting point, as you have to fix those first before you upgrade anything.

If my assumption is correct, it is bottom end related. I would say if you can locate a stock H22 block for cheap, your head, intake manifold, etc over. Sell the bad block to someone else for parts, get anything you can off it. Use that money for camshafts. If you haven't already, open up your exhaust. Also, hopefully you have an Hseries tranny mated to this and not an Fseries.

never heard of 1000 shots, that'd blow the welds off my intake manifold. you may have to get a billet intake manifold for that application!

I'm selling a extremely cheap h22a bear head in good condition. If your head is shot that is.

I was going to just do type-s pistons and a h23/f22 crank and rods. Something with piston clearance issues with the pistons though...ive been out of it for a while. That be around 230whp. Granted you have good I/H/E and your motor is healthy.

The cheapest way I see you getting that much power N/A out of the H is to use a good F22 block and the H head, bump up the compression with a thinner head gasket or mill the surface of the head down. Sell the H22 block if its good and get some cams.

If you want around 230 you could get the type s cams and pistons. Those should get close or at 220. You could also use Bisi stage 2 cams with a little port work should get at least 230.
