Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    and just so everyone knows in the future the LX header has a heatsheld and then the actual exhaust pipe under it.

      Do you still want that cam, Dave? I can bring it down there with me if you do. (I know I asked before, but I forget what you said! )

      I also have a manual shift cable set, and maybe some other shifter stuff... if you ever want to do the conversion. It's just collecting dust, and I'd ask less than you'd probably find it for on eghey.

        hey dj, what gasket did you use between the downpipe and the cat? I have the same header and I was wondering if I would need one.

          I tooke it to a muffler shop and had them put a new high flow cat on so idk what they used.

            wow that was fast ....thats what I am going to do also, I was just going to use my stock cat for a couple of months. I think I will be safe without one until then. thanks.

              I hear the stock 4-2-1 header isnt bad, is that true? What will I expect if I use a DC Sports one?

                The stock EX header is very close to as good as the DC sports header. With the DC you'll gain AT MOST 2-4HP.

                  Eh, I think the DC header would give 5-8hp over the EX header... and it would definitely respond well to a good CAI and a quality exhaust setup of the proper size. The H22 is the engine with the kickass stock header! You really can't get too much better with something else. All aftermarket headers do for the H22 is move the powerband around (often higher, like any 4-1 header...)
