Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

H's are just way too much dang money. I'm on a budget, not lookin to break the bank. To do an H swap I'm lookin at at LEAST 1500 bucks. I want something I can play around with and tweak and get power that way rather than just goin out and buyin what everyone else has. H22's are cool and all but too much "pesos".

JDM H22A can be had for $840 shipped to your door or cheaper if you look around.Originally posted by anythingfast View PostTo do an H swap I'm lookin at at LEAST 1500 bucks.
Any swap will cost money because you will want to replace the oil seals, timing belt, water pump, clutch as well as resurface the flywheel and get some other maintenance items. And you need an ECU. And for a head swap you also need a headgasket set.
^All that is a few hundred bucks (unless you get cheap crappy parts and skip some stuff... which is a bad idea)
Just something to think about

F23 head is a down grade.Originally posted by anythingfast View PostI don't necesarily WANT an F23 head. The guy was tellin me it'd be an upgrade, that is why we are here. I was tryin to figure out whether or not that was TRUE. I did not know the H 23 mani wouldn't fit the F23 head.
The F22a head is one of the best out there with by far the most potential.wat?

So correct if im wrong. You can turn a f22a non-vtec into a f22a SOHC VTEC?
Originally posted by rexload View PostYea, you just run a couple of wires to the ECU and get a ECU that can control VTEC.
FYI, the P06 is not a VTEC ecu but it can be converted and work just like a P28(which is a VTEC ecu).
You would have less to worry about with an F22A, there are no advantages in using the F23 head.
Make sure the turbo manifold you are getting will work with your engine and with the turbo you are planning on using. Also make sure the turbo is proper size for your engine.
And you will also need to tune the ecu before you can drive the car with a turbo installed on it.
