Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Tire issue

So i recently swapped my stock setup for the winter which is my steelies with hubcaps and regular touring tires. What I had on there before was my 5th gen 7 spokes with toyo proxes 4. MY question is, Could swapping the proxes to the touring tires affect the way by cars throttle responds (ie. Seems to go slower)?

I noticed that when i had my proxes setup, my car seemed to move quicker.

Well, the Proxes are performance tires, and you now have touring tires.

I wouldn't think you'd be able to feel the difference with daily driving, but I could be wrong.

A heavier wheel and tire will slow acceleration, just like a heavier flywheel they take more work(HP) to spin.

Is there a difference in tire size between them??
if so and they are a larger size then yes off the line you would feel a little more slugish, lower profile tires spinup faster then taller tires.
also cake has another point to heavy rims with larger tires that would do for shure
