Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Quick header question

I just bought a used DC sports header. My question is that it has the o2 sensor bung on the upper part instead of at the lower collecter like my current. Will it hurt anything if I move the o2 sensor to the upper manifold.

Ok well I don't feel like doing that so I'll just move the bung to the collector. Thanks.

you mean it's easier to move a bung than pull a fuse?

Keep the O2 at the collector. You'll get a more accurate reading.

No, but I'd rather have it where it's suppose to be than some where else.

              Because I didn't know, that's why.

just pull the fuses man. cmon' dont be a lazy ass. Its as easy as removing the 7.5 amp radio backup fuse and 10amp ECU fuse, wait 30 seconds and then put them back in. If you don't want to do that, then live with your problem.

They're located near the firewall inside the engine bay fusebox, can't be ANY easier....at waist level, out in the open. very simple man.

I know it's easy I just rather have it in the stock location than where it was for the earlier models. Plus it looks a lil bit cleaner with it mounted at the collector than up on the top. Plus I'll end up reseting the ECU any ways so it's not a matter of me being lazy, it's just I'm picky. Anyways I got the header blasted today and now I have to repair a lil damage on the under side and move the o2 sensor bung.

for puting the o2 in the primary you will need to extend wires which i doubt anyone solders. if you dont solder them they will not give the best signal output and hurt closed loop operation. just do your bung unless you plan to do it right with an extension harness
