Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    F22 rebuild

I am looking for a place to get quality parts for a rebuild at affordable prices. I am not wanting to go all out since I am going to building an H22 to swap in but want to boost this and AM NOT trusting the lower end.

Any help or info is apprecited.

stock rebuild? I'd stick with as much OEM parts as possible(with the exception of a few things like gaskets and seals)

But what dont you trust? If it's the ringslands...then theres no real way around that unless you get forged slugs.

I'd stick with OEM parts for everything, including seals. Cheap/bad seals lead to engine problems down the road and are annoying to deal with when everything else is running well.

Turbo it based on the parts used. You determine how far and how much you want to go into it and buy parts accordingly. The more you're on a budget, the more limiting. Either way, do the best you can afford to is my motto.

Cisco has no clue what he's talking about. He can't even finish a build.

haha, I am going to drop new slugs in but use the OEM rods. I am NOT looking to go over 10 psi max trying to keep it at an 8 psi setup.

As far as that all goes I AM upgrading the cam along with having the head worked.

The bottom end is NOT the original bottom end (A1 bottom and A6 top end) so I not going to have a headache of a blown up bottom end.

I am going to have the cylinders honed and the deck trued along with a .005" mill on the head for straightness and like I stated above the head ported and polished for flow for the boost.

I will keep you guys posted as I order parts but lets start posting up some reputable companies to get parts from.

id maybe go with a honda oem headgasket but the oil pump, id try and rebuild the oem one. a new one costs over 200 bucks!

I really like Gates components in terms of timing belts and water pump. i picked both up for 50 bucks shipped and have used them in a lot of cars ive worked on.
