So after not changing my plugs in a while (stupid me) I changed them, but I switched from an ngk bkr7e iridium plug to the ngk bkr7e which is much cheaper. I am now going to be switching my plugs my more regularly, just wondering with my set up if the ngk bkr7e copper plugs are o.k? Or should I stick with the iridiums?

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

What's your gap at? I think the 7's should be just fine for you.

Originally posted by d112crzy View PostYes, when gapped improperly. Most people don't know how to gap them. The tips are very delicate. You need to try to not rub on the tip as much as possible. If the gap is too tight, you need to use some pliers to bend the ground strap back. Most will try to pry the gapper between the tip and ground strap, which is where they fuck up.
Using a proper spark plug gapping tool (not the round pos that you get at the counter at auto parts stores) will allow you to adjust the ground strap without putting pressure on the tip. no need for pliers. I got mine for 1.99 at autozone.

These are the ones 90% of people use

They're not very accurate, nor will the gaps be consistent with that type of gapper. The difference and inconsitency isn't enough to worry over, but when you're gapping iridiums, using those will mess the tips up.
