Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

F22B P39 ecu? manuel or auto

Ok guys here is what I'm working on

I found a 93 lude auto, for my brother inlaw about a week ago and it was not running. the guys son that was working on this car blow his h23 and installed a jdm f22b. I guess he got into some trouble and is in jail and left his project behind and his dad need to get rid of it.

    what he told us:

running wrong-said it falling on its face

    check engine light was on

    throwing codes

    running rich

    what we done so far:

fixed firing order had it backward

    replace O2 sensor

    cleared codes

    new plugs

    plug wires

    things its doing still:

sounds lobby like it has a cams, not to bad though. is this due to the P14

what I've read is that JDM f22b DOCH needs a p39 ecu to run properly because p14 wont give you its full potential and other ecu need to get chipped and tuned,it currently has a P14 from the h23.

. so I started looking for ecu's on ebay and found a few company's that offer their ecu's already chipped but I'm a little effy about it, but my question is can I use a manual ecu or auto only?

will this (chipped) ecu just plug in and be done with it or do I HAVE to go get it tuned.

I've never missed with chipped ecu or an auto ecu so go easy on me. thanks guys.

all this info will be for my brother inlaw so more info the better.

    Marry Jane
