Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    What do you think?

I'm getting an overbored throttle body soon, is it gonna be beneficial to my performance. I got the classic ricey parts intake/header/exhaust.

I was also wondering if I could take it a step further and put that overbored on a a6 mani, what do you guys think?

i got a JG Throttle body and a H23 intake manifold for sale, the manifold is fatter and has a larger shorter plenum for better velocity adn air flow. this combination is deadly i say go for it!

If your engine combination downstream from the throttle body won't flow anymore air than stock, then the larger throttle body can't help. In fact, it may hurt off-idle performance. Keep in mind, when you improve airflow to the engine, you must also re-tune your fuel settings to match your mods, in order to fully get the most out of your mods.

by retuning the fuel do you mean adjusting the idle, or is there more involved?

You'll just have to make adjustments to the fuel pressure via a FPR. You can only go up to 15% above o.e. fuel pressure before you will need either a piggy back computer or a re-tuned ecu to compensate for the higer fuel pressures.
