I believe we should have 35 psi at idle (750 RPM) minimal. That would be my main concern for your engine. I would not operate it until that issue is fixed. Honestly, while there I would inspect as many engine bearings you can get into.

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I haven't read everything in this thread yet, but it sounds to me like you just need to do more tuning, make sure you tune lower rpm's all the way up to atmospheric pressure. Keep your map smooth. You need to make sure all the sensors are reading right too.
Also don't be surprised if you dont make much more vacuum at idle with the motor broken in. My 272's idle with about 15" hg or less depending on the rpm.spin city

crap! okay. well would it be worth me ripping apart snd removing the crank to check the little plug that was intended to RAISE oil pressure from the Kaizen Speed balance shaft eliminator kitr 1st? maybe better question... if installed incorrectly, what component or components of the BS eliminator kit would cause oil press to drop? so what should i actauallt inspect? if anyone knows! im thinkin smart, that i should call KaizenSpeed and ask them!Originally posted by HondaFan81 View PostI believe we should have 35 psi at idle (750 RPM) minimal. does anyone think it could be as simple as the gasket for the oil pickup that attaches to the oil pump in the oil; pan? hmmm when oi spec'd all the bearings they were all on the upper end of the tollerances so they were in spec....

she hits a max of about low 80's... so its not like she's lacking oil when she runnig around... ikts real wierd....

good looks DB, that is a good ppoint! i always forget that cam profile effects engine vacuum.... nowadays after about 350miles shes sittin steady at -19"HG... so im not too worried bout that anymore!

okay... talked to Kaizen today... i DEFFINITELY installed all the plugs exakly as instructed. when i asked the guy what couldd POSSIBLY go wrong to cause this, he quoted me an F22 engine they did a blance shaft delete install on with the same low pressure issue. he said the oil pump itself was to blame. it was a reman unit and replaced with an OE pump and NO more issues....
now... i have a TOGA high flow pump... not only that but i also have a shitty OBX alum oil pan.... the new oil pickup tube tht came w. the pan to replace the factory up tube is damn shitty. i have a couple ideas in my head to work on 1st..... the pick_up to oil pump gasket area could be NOT sealed properly... i did use straight up hondabond to seal it...
if not that, then the poickup tube itself could be responsible for not SUCKING up the oil that well? let me try n find a pic if youre unfamiliar... the factory pickup utilizes a sorta small opening to actually suck the oil thru, whereas the OBX piccup is VERY LARGE and hey, maybe this oversized opening is TOO large and is allowing more air to get in and reduce the ability of the pump to SUCK up the oil???? pulling this out of my ass but it seems to make sense in my head haha!
I also check out my oil press when i 1st started the car when i was leaviong work and at cold idle at around 1500ish, she was sittin at exakly 65psi.....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F22-P...#ht_780wt_1165 <------- this is the guy from F22Parts.com but its IDENTICLE pick up tube.... does my theory make any type of sense if even F22Parts carries the same style pick-up tube? cause i know hes halfway decent w/ the parts he sells....Last edited by ChroNicBoosT; 11-11-2010, 09:54 PM.

naa it wasnt just stalling, after like 10-15 min of driving, i would be letting her idfle to coll off the turbo before shutting her down obviously, and she would just straight up DIE out, as if i turned off the engine by turning the key. it would be idling at 1k rpms and then the nest split second, she just turned off... gotta dfo some more driving tomorrow to investigate if the replacement ignitor i put in was deffinitely the fix for that issue. if so then i just need to figure out what aspect of the oil system is causing this low pressure....
