ok heres the deal. a while back i bought a a6 intake manifold from a local yard. when buying it it only had 3 injectors on it. the code on the injectors is 4006. the car i got it off of was most likely raced seein how it had stickers and tails and the header was missing. so i just put one of the injectors of my a1 manifold for the missing place. well the other night i was racin on the free way and as in the past when i hit 90 it slows down a bit the picks up again at round 95ish "auto", well this time it just keep creepin to 100 and then i smelt somtin burnin so i let off the accelerator. before the swap it would go
fine after 95... on to 120 ish, so i thought it might have been somtin to do with the injectors as to why it might not have pushed past 100. so i changed the injectors all to the a1's i had. now maybe its just me but the car seems to not pull as hard after 4k to redline maybe im just crazy i don't know. are the 4006 injectors factory on f22a6's ? i don't think there is a difference between f22a1 and f22a6 injectors, is there?

the injectors are the same. something else is wrong.

100%, they are the same injectors, size, everything.

You have other problems if there is one at all....but in all seriousness. It is not safe to be traveling over 100 on the freeway, no matter how good you think you are.... and believe me, the ticket for 91 in a 65 hurt my feelings, and I wasn't even racing I was just trying to get out of the way..... $600 later, ouch.....now, you "racing" and speeding....that's not just going to be expensive, that's going to cost you your life, someone else's, or at very least your licence eventually.

Most tires are not rated much above 100mph, and traveling beyond 100 with anything other than a Z rated tire is risky....even then, you never know what could happen.

thanks for the help. after resetting the ecu and using fuel injector cleaner, my car is runnin pretty good again. i don't usually go that fast but i wanted to c what the difference would be in the top end with my a6 intake manifold plus when racin it was 2 in the morning and really wasn't much of a race. dude with mercedes slk hauled ass in front of me then flashed his er's while still flooring it! i know i would lose the race even if it was fair, but i hate it when some cocky rich kid does some unfair racin! the freeway was practicaly empty, it was more like me just floorin it on a straitaway. no other place to try it. i would never race around other cars or try to create a accident.
think of others, before urself is how i look at it.
