Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    so what's the problem?

you really need more information, like the actual engine code, symptoms, modifications to the engine. without these we can help you about as much as you can do yourself.

first off, only check for codes if the CEL is on. the rev limiter is a little past where redline starts. Please elaborate on your problem, does it happen often, every time, is it related to speed, throttle position, etc. are you auto or 5 speed. is your car maintained regularly?

              torque converter?

If not, than my next guess would be that the ECU is in limp mode...does limp mode throw a code?

limp mode=CELs so is your little orange engine light on? because it sounds like a cel isnt allowing you to go any higher.

i remember that in a video i saw a accord shifting at 5k and wouldn`t go any higher, the guy said it wasn`t throwing CELs but he couldn`t rev past 5k in gear........
