Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

JASMA a decent performance header ?

Again iv googled and searched i cannot get a definate answer on the JASMA hearders. I believe JASMA = Japan Automotive Sports Muffler Association, correct me if im wrong.

    So my real question is.

How does the JASMA headers compare to say Logic TriY,RMF,BISI ?

JASMA is not a brand , it's more like "CARB certification".

I love how you include a shitty rip-off stolen design header in with RMF and Bisi... (even though Bisi has accused RMF of stealing one of his designs, which if true, makes Bisimoto the ONLY authentic product mentioned there...)

But yes, JASMA is not a brand. Any header bearing a JASMA badge simply means it is approved by Japan's governing body regarding emissions.
Here's a link to the Jasma page, translated by Google for your convenience.

Although, leave it to some sneaky bastard to try to cash in on people's ignorance...

WOW i did not know that. So i guess there not REALLY a performance header or atleast better then the rip-off/Legit Bisi header.

Does Bisi frequent the cb7tuner forum ?

Not anymore. He used to when he first joined, but then his company grew larger, he got busier, and he realized that the average CB7tuner talks big, dreams bigger, but rarely spends big money.
julio@bisimoto.com is the current bisimoto rep (we've been through a few, and Julio is by far the best of them), but even he doesn't seem to come around all that often.

Is he just a good rep or does he offer a discount to our community ?

There are no set discounts, but if you call and talk to him he can often work with prices I'm told (I own no Bisimoto products, so I can't say from personal experience.) Julio is extremely knowledgeable, though, so he could guide you to buy the proper things for your plans.

CB7 tuners should keep it simple. No need to spend dough on the wrong shit. people should really evaluate there cars.

that the cb7 tuner crowd shouldn't band wagon everything. if they want to spend 100 to replace the header ok, but 1000 for a bisi unit is a little extreme.

Bandwagon what? The OP asked about Bisi, and it became part of the conversation. Mugen, RMF, and HyTech also were.... all are also over $1000 for a header. The only sub-$1000 header mentioned in this conversation is a poorly made knockoff of the HyTech design. Stolen engineering, cheap because of inferior materials and NO R&D (because HyTech already did it...)

Is the Bisi header any good compared to the other 4 figure headers for the H22? I hear it is not. I have no proof, just the word of people on forums, many of whom hate Bisi simply because he's Bisi.
My own money would go to SMSP before anything else.

$100 for a cheapie generic "ebay" header is fine if you want pretty shiny pipes, or you need a manifold. If you want a header that is going to produce power, you are going to be spending $1000 or more. Bisimoto is actually the cheapest non-ripoff H22 header on the market that isn't a generic design.

Since this topic has resurfaced, and has gone WELL beyond the point (though I think we all know what JASMA means now...) if you want an inexpensive performance header that isn't a stolen design (I DO NOT support stolen designs), look at ESP. Their header isn't anything fancy, and doesn't make quite as much as the other bigger names claim, but ESP's gains (dyno sheets shown on their site) are impressive, and the price is still under $500, I believe. MANY members here can vouch for the quality of their work.

There have been a lot of leaking problems associated with his header though. When you pay upwards of $1000 for an exhaust manifold, it shouldn't leak.
