Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    dual runner problem?

ok i did the a6 manifold swap months ago with no problems. the black box that controls the butterfly valve i had wired the black wire to a engine ground and the red into the inside off of a 12v switch. it was working fine off the switch. well now i just got my car back a week ago and the butterfly valve doesn't work im guessing the black box doen't work right seein how everythink is hooked up right. is there another way to hook up the valve to make it stay shut then open up aroud 4k rpm's with out the black box?

SCREW THE BLACK BOX.....................just hook up a vaccum line from the butterfly valve to a open vaccum port on the manifold and then ur set.

it does work its the same if the black box was in the middle of the vaccum hose but ur takin it out. its done manually. which i think that it is better. i feel it around 4500 or soo. when i had my SOHC in it felt it kick in. but know i have the DOHC (h23) i feel as well
