Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Intercooler on an N/A engine???

    Yo, can't wait to put on my turbo but mom wouldn't let me do it till summer.....( I'm only 17)

    So.......can I install the intercooler for now??
    I mean it would be just like a super CAI right? but maybe it would be hard for the engine to suck air???

        hahahah. i had an intercooler with no turbo for like a day...just because i wanted to cut down install time. but a whole summer?

            all it will do is create turbulance in the intake. an intercooler is designed to cool down HOT and COMPRESSED air. not ambiant air in vacuum

                That was a good question but after I thought about it for 30 sec. I figured it would more harm the air velocity more than help it.

                  the main reason it doesnt work is because the air being sucked in is the same temp as the air hitting the fins. which = no heat transfer

                        yea man put on the intercooler, have one end of the intercooler connected to the TB side, and at the other end put a intake filter.
