Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Installing Adjustable Cam Gears

After purchasing a cam for my F22, I want to install a adjustable cam gear to move the powerband lower so that I can use more of the power the cam produces.

My question is this: When doing the timing with a stock Honda cam gear, you place both the cam gear and the crank pulley at TDC, then move the cam gear two teeth. Is the procedure the same for ACG's, or do you set both at TDC, and then adjust afterwards?

I guess I'm just a little confused about the procedure, I has trouble with it the last time, and I don't want to bend any valves by getting the timing wrong.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Okay, after reading a recent DIY, I think the teeth thing is only to tighten the timing belt correctly. I thought it was to set the timing correctly. So can anyone confirm that you just want the crank and the cam both set exactly at TDC?
