Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

intakes, mufflers, and mounts oh my

i was looking around eBay for an AEM cold air intake for my 92 accord...and my searched resulted in a bunch of really cheap cold air intakes...why do these intakes cost so cheap?...are they crap or what?

    ALSO

i was thinking of replacing my stock muffler (hole from an accident) and i noticed the pipe from the muffler curves out and doesnt go straight...i plan on buying a cat-back system in the future but for now i just wanna replace my muffler....but all the mufflers ive seen go straight out and the opening in the rear wont allow it...to get to the point (i dont think im making any sense)...if i take it to a muffler shop will they bend a pipe for me in order for it to fit proerly?

by the way its a wagon if that makes any difference

    AND ONE MORE THING...

i see a lot of people here leaving threads about engine vibration...i had this problem too...my problem was fixed when i got my motor mounts replaced...made a huge difference...so for anyone with this problem take that into consideration

    AND FINALLY

does anyone know if the difference in lengths between the wagon and sedan or if they are the same?

im not positive if they are heavier.. etc...
but i think they are just no-name,
for now i have one an aem short ram..
before this I had a no name shor ram, no diff
    to me.

        Cold Air off Ebay

Me and my buddy (93AccordEX on www.accordracing.com) have the same Cold Air Intake the we bought off of ebay and it was around 70 delivered to my door. It works perfectly, its actually a 2 peice, so if you live in a rainy area, and you dont want vapor lock, you can transfer the filter up into the engine bay (nice feature to have here in chicago). But yeah, it was pretty cheap, and it definately did the job, helps me beat those pesky Civics and their 1.6s. HAHA

unless you dont have a problem getting pulled over cause youre in a wagon, i wouldnt get a cheap noname intake. being in CA, you will get sited for any mod without a carb#.

check out this intake. cp intake. its legal and alot less that an aem.

when you get the sticker, dont put it on. just leave it in the glovebox... so if you ever get pulled over, and have a bigger or different intake for any reason, you can just show them that tag. not like theyll know or anything.
