Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Intake Manifold ?

ok, I am pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I need reassurance.
On a JDM f22b IM, there should be 4 butterflies right? The primaries that are always open and the secondaries that open at 4000 or whatever. So if you look down the TB, you should see the 4 holes, right? On a f22a1 IM, there are none, so you look down it and theres nothing there, just the manifold, right?

And the jdm f22b throttle body fits on the f22a manifolds, right?

that got really confusing towards the end. If i understood that correctly then all of your questions are a "yes." The a1 manifolds have a straight through design with no butterfly valves. You can even just look for the plate that holds the butterfly valves to verify if it has them or not. On dual runner manifolds there should be a 1 high plate between the top plenum and the runners themselves. A 3 piece design, and the a1's are a 2 piece design.

hmmm...actually i'm gonna do a 50/50 chance on if the f22b tb fits the f22a's. If its like the h23 manifold then it shouldn't fit but i think its more like the other f22's. I guess just find the bolt patterns and compare.

dude just get a h23 manifold...then you can really find a throttle body...and it has the secondary runners in it..like the f22b(dohc)

he already has the f22b dohc, getting an h23 would be a waste of money.

heres why I am asking, I bought a "JDM F22B" intake manifold off metaluna21 like 3 weeks ago. I finally got to looking at it today, and immediately saw the upper plenum was too small. Took it apart and figured out it was a f22a1 IM. I have a f22B intake manifold on my car, but I wanted an extra one so i can have it p&p/bored and the TB bored.
