Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Steel Seal blown head gasket fixer?!

As posted by 92BlackEX on Accordracing.com, figured since he doesnt come to this site, id post here and pass the word along to him if anyone has any answers.

"Has anyone heard or have used this stuff call Steel seal. Apperently if you have a blown head gasket your supose to add this stuff to you coolant and run it through a bunch of times untill your car stops blowing white smoke (sealed gasket). I was just wondering if anyone knew if it worked and how good it does, it sounds like it's possible, but it's to good to be true, you would probly have to do it every so often...."

Anyone heard of/used it in their car? His intent is to use it to fix the blown head gasket on his old Grand Am 4 cyl 2.2 liter. But i figure, its the same procedure/concept for all 4 cyls. Thanks for any replies.

www.*********.com if ya wanna check it out yourself.

I have never used it but I dont know sometimes most companies that claim their products work and whatnot is only like maskin whats already screwed up the only real alternative is to fix it later or pay even more out the ass for maskin it and tryin to ignore whats the real proble at hand.

I rather just fix it the normal if you dont listen to your car and do what it says it will mess up on you when you most need it. I wish companies would just tryin to cheapskate their way out of a real problem sometimes making it makes it worse making you pay more you know. I learned that the hard way and it hurts
