From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Spark PLugs>?

I just went out and bought Bosch Platinum 4 spark plugs for my car before i really looked into which spark plug is best. After taking the spark plugs home, i decided to do a litle reseach on the Bosch plugs. COme to find out the do not really help anything much, and i heard numerous horror stories. So i took them back, and now what i am asking the smart people of this forum is what is the best spark plug to buy for performance, Iridium or platinum, and what brand, i was looking the NGK Iridiums, btu not sure about them or Denso?

honestly i'd say none of the above. The badass spark plugs may fire a little and i do mean little more efficiently but not by much at all. If your plugs are fine right now and not fouled with fuel then just get some ngk v-power spark plugs and you'll be fine. U won't notice a difference between the $2 spark plugs or the $55. The iridium and platinum are for longevity u don't have to change them throughout the entire life span of the motor supposively...but then again u want to change ur spark plugs like every 2 or 3 oil changes so theres really no point. So when someone tells u they bought the $55 ngk iridium spark plugs u can look at it like an extended warranty NOT a modification

The Bosch 4's drop off after about 6 months. They are a really good plug in that time span. The Denso and NGK Iridiums have a lot longer life span and the performance is right up there with the Bosch. I've used almost all brands of Spark Plugs and I like the Denso and NGK Iridiums the best.

I use the Bosch +4 plugs. It's nice that you don't have to worry about gapping them. I've had mine in for about 6 months and checked them the other day and they still look like they are working perfectly... not too much carbon, not too white. I haven't ever tried any others, but people say that ngk's are the best for Hondas.

Do yourself and go to a parts store that carries NGK-R's with a sparkplug socket and a torque wrench. Buy 4 of em. Replace the Bochs's with the NGK's and throw them down the storm drain, or try to take them back and say they dont work.

doing the same cept using copper NGKs two steps colder or a performance plug I was recommended by someone

NGK has both 7mm and 8mm wires that I'm aware of, I was told that 7mm is plenty but 8 mm wouldn't hurt

Exactly what and how much would a MSD ignition system cost for a 90-93 accord, and how much will it help? And exactly help me with what?

Well, the in that case its probably good to upgrade the ignition system. But my question to you is what is the total price for a mSD ignition system.?

from what I know...ignition modules allow for multi-spark distribution for more powerful sparks & ensures combustion....this is ideal for non-stock setups or the basic I/H/E. We're talking significant changes to the air/fuel intake, forced induction, nitrous, etc. The more crap you throw in, the more you wanna make sure it ignites so you don't misfire, etc & get all the performance you can.

getting colder plugs also helps by being able to withstand higher temps during combustion on a fairly modified car

                              MSD $200-250

I personally like the rev-limiter feature which I'm gonna use in breakin the engine in as a ceiling

anyone else have more to add?
