I was just wondering if there are any noticible benefits from swapping ECUS, and if there are any negative effects....Does it increase horse, torque, timing, shift points(I have an Automatic), does it change a/f ratios? What is the deal and is it worth doin?

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

ECU Swapping

cool man, thanks bro, I sure as hell don't got that much work into the A1, and I doubt that I'll put that much into it, I'd rather look good than go fast around here....Roads blow here and there would be no where to go that fast so investing that much in the motor would be a waste, but thanks for the info

I totally agree here.
In my H22a swap I have the p72 (gs-r ecu) JUN chipped, and I like it, bc she can take higher revvs at the track, on the street, wherever, bc there is no rev limiter. I like it better than stock.Natalie

The P72 USDM GS-R ECU is the only other ECU that can run the H22A besides the P28/P30.
The Benefit about running the P72 is you no longer have to deal with the EGR circut and it controls the IAB.
The downside with that ECU is that even with chipped programs they still don't show any power gains over the P13 on the Dyno.
The JUN program that is tuned for the P72 is tuned to run with Jun Brand Toda Cams package, Has a Vtec engagement of 4400 RPM, and a Redline of 9100 RPM. You probably never rev it that high that's why you beleive it has no rev limiter.
I personally wouldn't run that program though. Since it's in no way tuned to run the H22A there are probably many places in the power band that you are running the engine lean. Not to mention that when it comes to the Dyno you actually lose power even though it "feels" faster.

I have an F22a6 ecu on my F22a1. I tonssssssss of mods done to my car. I noticed a nice bump in power at 4000 rpm, and a few extra HP at 5500rpm to redline. No big gains, just a few HP.12.5 at 114.6mph 15psi

I have an F22a6 intake manifold on my car, but i took off the top half, and bolted on a plenium/throttlebody off of a H23/H22. Also have an F22a6 camshaft installed, and lots of other stuff12.5 at 114.6mph 15psi

The F22a6 camshaft has more lift and duration on the intake lobes only.
I tried replying to your PM's but it keeps saying your mailbox is full.12.5 at 114.6mph 15psi
