From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Opinions Wanted

Well i sent my h22a4 to a shop to get checked out, the problem was there was low compression on the 4th cylinder. They said the pistons and cylinder walls were shot. So i guess the question that im asking is what do you reccomend for a rebuild. Im leaning towards a N/A or nitrous setup. Any parts/brands/prices would be appreciated.

A possibility that i was thinking is getting a size larger sleeves and making the displacement larger and getting aftermarket pistons/rods. I also got a noob question what parts are reccomended for a nitrous build up.

Any help appreciated thanks in advance.

get the thing sleeved i like GOLDEN EAGLE and then any reputable piston and rod combo if you staying n/a go higher compression to 11 to 1 or so higher if youd like just remember if you do spray tune it or at least run a rich fuel jet to stay away from detonation.

oh and a nitrous build is dependent upon cash in hand cuz the best is a direct port setup but most people op for a wet shot cuz its cheaper and in most cases direct port is a lil overkill but sprays addicting and whith a built motor youll have a good safety margin

Getting it sleeved is really a waste of money if you are going n/a. With sleeves and getting them putting in it will most likely run well over a grand for that lone. Just get some higher compression pistons and rods instead of that. Cams are always really important in a nitrous setup so look into that too.

I believe he was asking what to do about the low compression in cyl#4 (as far as the sleeves go). I could be wrong.

As far as N/A vs. Nitrious, I prefer N/A...and if you decide to go that route, advanced cams, better pistons, rods and milling the head would be a good start. Be advised, this can get expensive

Well i talked to the shop and they said they would redo all the cylinders and make all the compression right and ill basically get a new bottom end for 900$$. Sooo that takes a big chunk out my money saved for my engine, im just going to try to get it running before i get all these good parts. Thanks for the help.
