h22 rebuild question

latly ive been thinkin about buyin just the h22 block ......and puttin an lsd trany and a dhracing head on it...... and ovisoly other shit but yea u get the point

its just that i plan on puttin on the dhracing manifold, tb, head, turbo cams, and internals in/on it anyway so wats the point in getting the complete engine?

this make sence right?

im making this post only in case theres something wrong with the idea

Question how much are you gonna plan on pushing ? because I dont see the point in having turbo cams im still rockin the h22's stock cams pushing some decent numbers. And so are quite a few people on this board.

400 is fine for a bone stock head.

def go with dhracing, i've only heard good things about them. hondafan is the only on eo beleive to have actually had experience with dave hickman. as for turbo cam.....don't bother, just get stage 2 or stage 3 cam. the price seems well worth it, this guy sounds like a freaking miracle worker with heads. i hear he also does block work! think bout him for the entire engine build. again talk to hondafan about this he is a genious on dhracing

...you DO know what they actually do right? The only thing you might want to change out of the parts you mentioned for a high output turbo motor are the valves themselves...exhaust valves mainly. There are even some modifications you can do to improve the stock valve's durability when used with boost, without replacing them. Springs and retainers can be left well enough alone so long as you're not revving significantly above stock redline (and this is a turbo app so most likely you WON'T be doing that).

Better make sure your vacuum hose is good for 400hp...hahaha

o and also i searched a few tuner forums and only found 1 legit claim....i'm sure no company has 100% satisfaction. me personaly hav heard nothing but good thnigs about his products from many many people. can't wait till hondafan gets his stuff on and working. he can be the proof! yey hondafan hahaha still going through dave to get my headwork, IM, tb done when the time comes
