For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

well the one i had was just a muffler off of a type s rsx, so we just took it off of that and stuck it on my car beacuse the other muffler was internally destroyed!

well like on the type R integras if u change the exhaust setup at all almost (unless it is perfect in every aspect) u will not make anymore power, so that means that it must flow hella free, well the type S uses a typeR muffler from the integra, and that is serious, i talked to whats his face at HMO, anyways, i like mine.. it sounds good, the only one u wanna stay away from is the non type S one because it is A) 2.25 inches open and B) it might not perform as well, duh!

Some kid I know has 280 horse on a turbo b16b and it has a stock type r muffler... That doesn't help you with your rsx type s one, but like someone said in this thread, they are similar...

You keep saying muffler... Are you guys talking about just the muffler, or the whole exhaust setup? Lol, I don't think a muffler is going to increase hp...

i just want the muffler because i dont like how mine sounds, im not trying to increase power by just changing the muffler lol.

                      muffler

i am using a 2006 civic si muffler on my wagon it really works good ,better back pressure and even though it is quieter i like the performance. the exhaust size is 2.25 same size as most aftermarket piping sizes

I have had the RSX type-s muffler and rear section on my car for about 6 months. It's quiet obviously, but I don't like the sound. It sounds raspy but I am not sure if it is from the hi-flow cat.
