Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Header install

Well ladies and gents! i finally installed my DC sports header.... WOW! took us a good 3 hours, its kinda hard working on this damn car being so low... but we managed, i had to weld the header on because the guy i bought it off, cut the flange off.

I also took out my cat, and installed a 20-24 inch glass pack(straight through design like a resonator, no louvers here )

All in all, i think it was worth the 150 bucks i spent on it

as you can see, i hooked up the knock sensor over towards the right of the head, not the best place for it, but it will do for now, if you dont know i am running a p14, and it has a knock board.

Also did anyone have problems with the header smoking really bad for the first 1-2 mins?

here are some pics of it. i like it it...

The butt dyno gives it two thumps way up! hehehe

i can deff feel the power up top, but down low is kinda slow BUT deff better then stock manifold....

who ever sais glasspacks suck, SUCKS! because it is exaclty the same thing as a resonator, and mine is straight through and is 2.5 in, so who gives a fKCU!

Has anyone seen the inside of a CAT? way fucking worse then a glasspack thas for sure

and it only costed me 40 bucks...

does the glasspack quiet it down alot? I just head then they crack easily and when they crack they sound HORRIBLE. I'll do some research and see what i can find...where'd you get it in the mean time and is it just like a straight pipe?

Engine shots look sweet, the header really set it off....you make me want that engine more and more and more every day. Also what engine code was that header made for, F22x or H23 or what?

ladies ladies ladies, damn not all at once...

It was for an h23, i just got that one because it was cheap...

the f22a1 can fit too... but didnt feel like paying that much..

ask any racer real racer, and they will tell you that if you take out your cat, your car will sound like ASS guarranted(sp?) so i just put the glas pack in there to quiet it down.

Its not that much louder then before, its really really deep though, i bought it at NAPA parts store, like autozone.

When I put on my headers it smoked for a minute or two so I guess it's normal. I will definitely vouch for the thing about taking out the cat lol. Under normal driving my car sounds like ass for sure. Whenever I'm at WOT it sounds fucking mean as hell.... even the domestic guys at the street races like it.
