Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Can I improve my A6 Manifold prior to install

I recently purchased an A6 manifold and PT6 ecu for my F22a1. I plan on cleaning it out, and cleaning up the EGR ports before I install it. I'm just wondering if there is anything else I can do to this manifold to improve it before I install it. I figure it would be easiest to work with while it is out of the car. I have no desire to send it off to be ported, etc since I don't have that type of money, but I also don't want to try and do something dramatic either.

I will be running it in conjuction with an AEM CAI, so I'm just trying to maximize the potential of this swap.

I have a Dremel kit, so I'm just slightly curious. Is there anything I could forseeably do to my TB as well?

Clean out the IACV with brake cleaner and dry it out before installing the intake manifold. Search in the DIY section for instructions.

Thank you for the suggestion. I plan on re-using my IACV from my current manifold, since I don't believe I have the one from the A6 manifold. I did recently clean that out, and noticed a slight improvement. Not a bad deal for a $0.99 can of carb cleaner actually.

Replace any gaskets that look like shit. Send your TB to Maxbore and port match the IM to it. Maybe smooth out the inside if you are able to. Polish it and make it look shiny! Drill some holes for a direct port nitrous setup.
