Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

it's the vtec part on the end honda h22,2.3 vtec that throwing me off.
is it that you have rods for the h22 vtec and h23, or rods to make the h22 a 2.3

We do not offer any hybrid applications, such as making an H22 into an H23. All our rods are direct replacment (aside from special considerations like notching etc.). Here are the engines you can use our H-Beam rods in...

            H22 Honda Accord SiR 1994-1997
            H22 Honda Prelude VTEC 1992-1996
H22A Honda Prelude SiR (JDM) 1997-2001
            H22A Honda Prelude 1999-2001
            H22A Honda Prelude Type S (JDM) 1997-2001
            H22A1 Honda Prelude 1997-1998
H22A1 Honda Prelude VTEC (USDM) 1993-1996
            H22A4 Honda Prelude (USDM) 1997-2001
            H22A7 Accord Euro-R 2002+

            That help?

The product listing has all of the measurements for the rods. Check it out here...H22 H-Beam rods at Tuner Toys

We offer the complete Skunk2 line for the H22s, but not much specifically for the F22.

FYI these rods will not work with an H23 without some machine work. The H22 rod length is longer, and will cause piston to head clearance issues. When I finished building my motor with the correct rods my piston to head clearance was .030, and the wrong rods it would have been -.026. Negative clearances =

I second what 93accord said. The rod length between an H22 and H23 is different. You know, just so you don't have any H23 owners come to you and say they just permanently sealed all their valves to their head.

which rods are you talking about? h23 or h22?

you post confuses me. U say it would not work on the h23, then you go and talk about how h22 rods being longer and that causing problems.

can you clear up what you're trying to say? I'm sure people know not to put h23 rods in h22 and vise-versa.

The rods that TunerToys is advertising are H22 rods, they will not fit into an H23 or F22 (these rods are interchangable). I have an F22 and when I built my motor with the correct rods (F22/H23 rods from crower) my piston to head clearance was .030, and the wrong rods (H22 rods) it would have been -.026. Does that clear it up?

How are you sure people know not to swap H22 and H23 rods? This website stated that these rods were the same dimensions and a novice could easily buy these H22 rods for an H23 (as the website listed it to be compatable) and wind up causing catastrophic physical damage.

                              ok, i c what u mean.

if someone is gona buy h22 rods to put on their f22, they should know what theyre doing. If they dont, that their bad. The information is on this board, if they dont research theyre pretty dumn for buying something they dont really know if its gona fit.
