ive been thinkn about this for a while.

what are u alls opinions on..........

when a car can be called hybrid or type-R?

do u all consider a car that has a swap hybrid or type R....
a car thats turbo-d (wasnt turbo-d from factory) a hybrid or type R
and a car thats nitrous-d a type R or hybrid ????????

just want to kno u alls thoughts, thanks.

for example...my man BlazenAccord, i would say his cars a type R.

well, i believe the title of "type R" belongs to the original car that came off the production line as a "type R" (itr, ctr, atr). Now, if you get an EG with a b18c5, i believe it shouldn't be called an R, rather a hybrid. same goes with any car (gtr vspec, type s, blah blah blah).

theo, i think you have to define "type r" in this thread. . I'm defining it as honda's type racing line. i think if you're turbo you deserve the title as accord turbo. if you have nos, nothing, just keep it sleeper

just asking because a lot of folks get things done to there cars and then they consider it hybrid or type- r
i guess its what u think of it (meaning urself)

like some would swap a h22 and call it a hybrid.

i would call my man Toms car an accord type R because i kno he's building it to run and because it sounds tight...lol

but im leaning towards type R.
i see type R as RACE so i guess thats why i use the term i do.

i consider any car with a swap a hybrid. The type R badge should only belong to those who do a complete swap over of everything the original type R car had. For instance just swapping a c5 motor into an integra is not a type R to me. The itr also has a wicked suspension setup and until you obtain all of those items then the car should just be called a hybrid. The same goes for the SIR badge. Everything down to looks should be the same to take the badging of SIR, Type-R, Type-S, etc.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but I know I speak for a lot of people when I associate type-r with ricers. If your car is an actual type r then that is cool. If you don't have one and put *** ass emblems or stickers on it then that is pretty lame .... identity crisis .... just be proud of whatever it is. I just consider a turbo car a turbo car and like cokinut said a car with nitrous is a sleeper
