Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Unorthodox Racing H22 pulleys

I know there are a couple threads about AEM pulleys that have info on the UR ones, but I figured I should make a specific thread anyway. For the H22 pulleys, especially.

I just got a crank pulley off of eBay (gotta love bargains!) It's in decent shape, I guess... I may need to file down some slightly rough edges. I think the engine it was on may have blown up, because this seller had LOTS of H22 parts for sale last week... The pulley is covered in rubber residue, and obviously used. Still seems straight though, and there really doesn't seem to be any damage. So... Here are my questions!

    1) What size belts will I need for this pulley? It looks considerably smaller than the stock pulley. (I also noticed that UR has specific pulleys for the engines made in 1992, as oppsed to the rest... I don't know what year my engine is! )

    2) Along the same lines as #1... I want to keep my power steering (i think) but I may remove my AC. In that case, what belt would I want to get?

    3) Is there any special hardware I would need? I got the pulley, and nothing else.

    4) Will it be alright to use this pulley with my stock PS and alternator pulleys?

    5) Is there anything I should know before attempting to put this on? I know how hard the stock pulley may be to get off, so I'm anticipating that much. That's about it though.

That's it for now. Any help would be great. Hopefully this thread will answer some questions for people in the future!

Your best bet is to just measure how long the belt should be.

Makes sense... I never replaced belts before... Can you just cut em to size? (I just tried IMing you... are you on? My program sucks! )

No, you can't just cut them. I don't know which SN you tried IM'ing but no, i'm not on right now. Be sure the belt has the right number of ribs tho. That's important.
