Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Cam ??

    Hey whats up everybody! I have a question. On my cb7 I have a F22A1 and I have a full exhaust, High Flow cat, A6 runners with H23 upper plenum, cold air intake, high flow fuel filter. Anywayz I was racing my friend and I was beating him and when we finished he said that I had ALOT of smoke coming from my exhaust....and he said it was blue smoke, which would be oil and fuel. He was saying that I need a better cam in my cb, that I have upgrades that are pushing more fuel into the engine and not all of it is getting burned, and the rest is getting pushed threw the exhaust. I was just wondering if a delta cam would do the trick, and what specs would be best for me.

    1. Blue smoke is oil
    2. Black smoke is unburned fuel
    3. Do a compression check

      also, u don't have anything pushing more fuel into your engine. And the smoke is probably a valve stem seal problem or somethin

        Your friend doesn't know anything. I'm guessing he meant the fuel filter was pushing more fuel in the engine? Wow. How many miles are on the engine?

          valve stem seal... you should hope it's just that. try piston ring lands.

            It has 173,XXX. Yeah I really would like to get a compression test done on it. he also said that he smelt fuel in the smoke so.........He said it was like riding behind a dirt bike......
