any one here purchase one from ebay? I was thinking about getting one since I don't want that annoying speed limiter on my new H im getting. any one have any insite?

also I've never messed with ECU's before. How hard is it to install?

i too want to buy this for my h, i think i've read that they are not that great, not sure though,

some of those chips come with sockets, so you can switch chips,
you need to souder it in somehow

I don't thinke those chips are very good at all. I know for a fact they don't work on JDM P13's. I am now running a VAFC2 but also just want my stock settings with moved limiterr and speed limiter is all.

They work for p28. Anyway yea all they do is make your car run rich. So when you hit VTAK you see a whole plume of black smoke behind you lol I have a skunk2 chip. Im pretty sure mugen and all those whatever are the same. The diff is the rev limits and engagement point.

Basically I just want something to get rid of the speed limiter. But that skunk2 chip sounds interesting. Where can I find one of those?

I got mine off ebay. Love the smoke it blows out lol not really but yea I plan to get another chip. You buy a P28 and chip it you automatically get rid of the speed limiter and such.

USDM P13's don't have a speed limiter afaik.

But if I were you I'd get a chiped P28 or P72 that's made to run a H22

Didnt know that. I knew JDM ones were limited but didnt know about the USDM. Just assumed it was the same as the JDM. Good info to know

hmm...yeah maybe I can just find a USDM one. Or what about those p28's MRX's is selling. Those just plug and play? Any one have expereince buying one of his chipped ECUs?

Yes they are plug and play after they are chipped and you gotta wire up the 4/5 wires if you havent done that. MRX is a good seller. I havent seen anyone say anything bad about him and his tuning abilities. If I was to buy a chipped ECU from someone MRX would be one of the people on my list to buy from.

My spoon chip doesn't make my car run lean at all. In fact my car is the only vtec honda I've ever seen that doesn't smoke black. On the dyno it runs just a tad lean and then evens out at vtec or nitrous which ever comes first. Oh and mine is off of ebay as well. The p28 and the chip.

You prob got the nitrous to balance it out since when your spraying you need more fuel so it prob compensated for it.
