Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    I got 2 questions...

First question...what causes my 92 honda accord ex coupe to rev up? I start the car, and it revs up to 2 grand, then drops to 800 rpm..then climbs back up. I have replaced the o2 sensor, when i replaced the header, and I am going nuts! I want a perniment fix. It annoys me, and everyone else, especially when I got an exhaust system..is it a vacuum problem, or what?

Second question...I was driving down the highway the other night, and ended up hitting a concrete slab, or truck tire..Well, it scared the shiznit outta my, and my lady. Turns out that the rims are not damaged..more then a couple minor scrapes( lucky for me, since they seem to be one-offs) but, after inspecting it at work today, I found out taht I got a leaky radiator. So, what can I replace it with? I know stock, but what about like fluidyne, or sumthin? How much? Where can I find it, and what will I gain in a better radiator? I know more cooling, but anything else? What will better cooling do for my car? Thanks...

i can try and help you with first question, check all your vacume lines, theones near battery, the ones in black box on firwall, try cleaning your iac, clean your throttle body, could be a very dirty fuel filter, egr ports, many things but start by checking ALL vacume lines, good luck.

it doesn't always do this though..usually it's after it warms up..how can I check the vacuum hoses? Just check for cuts?

if it does it after your car warms up, its possible that its your FIV

also could be you have a bad TPS sensor.

            swifty:

Having similar probs on my 90 EX when I do not let it warm up after it's been sitting a while and just start the engine and go...when I come to a stop, RPM will go up to 2000, then down to like 1000-1500 and keep repeating. I was going to look into the fast idle valve & make sure it's not sticking, also was gonna check vacuum hoses & lastly TPS sensor (prolly some electrical check for this). I doubt it's the TPS...most likely vacuum related. I just haven't had time to check cuz I have other cars with higher priority to work on in our family
