Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Actually, the 4th gen prelude and base 5th gen share exhausts except for 1 hanger which needs to be moved. Some of the cheaper (i.e. eBay) exhausts are designed for the JDM cars. They had a shorter cat on them so the mid pipe is longer. The same goes for the SH 5th gen preludes... the mid-pipe is longer to clear the ATTS module.
That's beside the point though... with enough work you can make any exhaust you like fit any car you like. The question is, is it worth it?

IM pretty sure as you mentioned it is longer. His tip sticks out the back at least another 3in or so. I keep on telling him to cut it. Everything bolts on though. Its a Tsudo from ebay he bought it used from some member in PP i think.

the rsx muffler is very constricting. i was going to go with the muffler for the quietness but after i saw the picture of how bad the exhaust had to recirculate in the muffler to leave it, i'd be better off getting an aftermarket to get some performance.

someone on clubrsx sliced open his 05 rsx muffler, which is more flowing than the 02-04s and is closest to the type-r muffler

just save your money :P and get an es oval, better flowing than that thing. all you're paying for is the muffler tip...

and last i checked, the rsx piping is a little smaller than 2.25" its around 2" if not smaller.

          EDIT:
Just realized this thread is uber old
