From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Head swap questions

    I searched but didn't find anything useful so here are my questions.

    What exactly is a head swap?
    Can you go from the stock F22A1 to having vtec or what?
    Whats the best head swap or most done?
    How much power gain can you get from a head swap?

    And anything else you think I need to know.

    You didnt find anything useful because you didnt search hard enough. A headswap is exactly what it means a head swap meaning they take the head off another engine block and slap it on another block that basically doest come with that particular engine block. you can go with just about any engine as long as it lines and bolts up nicely and has all the clearance to do so. Is it reliable only if done right and even so theres no guarantee. Well over here head swaps really arent done that much mostly on bseries motors ive seen do more headswaps than us to tell you the truth. How much can you gain from a headswap well that depends on the setup and the tune to be honest with you. Theres so many setups its not even funny.
