Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    injector help

hey i have an h22 motor that may need new injectors....i dont want bigger injectors as i dont have an after market ecu that can be tuned to accomodate such..but rather i want to have stock or slightly larger injectors that can be used in accordance with my stock ecu.....

i am not sure i need them i am going through the elimination process....all of a sudden the car started running like complete shit..like its starving for gas...the engine has no more than 36000 on it when i bought it...since then i have rebuild it changed all seals and gaskets....but i cant seem to figure out why its running like that.....(fuel pump, and filter are good)...gonna swap the injectors to see if that is the problem....all else i will check the head.......

I doubt the injectors are the problem.....

stock injectors are good for a lot longer than ~40,000 miles...but taking them out and checking them for buildup and crap wouldnt hurt...let us know... are you using the stock fuel pump?

mine looked and my engine performed fine (stock f22a4, getting almost 28mpg) but when the results came back from the cleaning...they were only mediocre in flow test.

don't just throw parts at it and hope it fixes it. that can be expensive.

get a haynes manual and go to the troubleshooting section.

but, sense you have a swap, it's probably a wiring problem....check your grounds, one may have poped off. later.
