Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    DC Muffler

Ok quick question for people smarter than me...

A buddy of mine with whom i work with, drives a newer civic.. Im not sure what year, but its newer than a 2000. He has a 4cyl. with a 1.7 liter VTEC engine. He just bought a DC muffler, and paid to get the piping leading from the engine to the muffler, increased to a 2 in. diameter. His car sounds really really nice.

Seeing as I have a 4cyl. with 2.2 liter engine, if i get the same muffler, and get my piping done like his, chances are, will his setup sound similar if I get it on my car?

    Help me please

Well, if you do go that route, just make sure to get 2.25" piping because the stock piping is 2" already. I'm sure it will sound somewhat around the same as his, maybe a little throatier since it's a bigger engine.

throatier??? like raspy? so if it were going to be raspier, could i leave the stock piping, and have it deeper sounding, and less raspy? or is it not going to be raspy in the first place??
