Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    too much for exhaust?

    so i was talking to this guy today....custom 2.5 mandrel bent aluminized piping from catback $150 install a resonator $30....so basically i buy a muffler then have them install for like $180 w/0 muffler

    or he said a whole magnaflow catback for 300 with magnaflow muffler?

    what you guys think ?

    Maybe a lil' high but not too outrageous.

    Paid 100 bucks for my 2.25in piping from the cat. Bought my magna flow for 30 bucks (got lucky that day) I got a discount though.

      my entire exhaust setup was less that 350.

      ebay header/dp, 2.5" piping, catco cat, twinloop muffler, 13" resonator.

        My custom exhaust cost over 1000 dollars. That between parts and labor. Consider yourself to be lucky...

          SOunds pretty good to me. Mandrel bent > Crush bent and its also more expensive lol. But yea you can get a muffler off ebay and bring it to them they dont cost that much. Just dont get the shitty 10 dollar ones.

            Vibrant 3" Resonator (2): 140 shipped
            Magnaflow 3" Cat: 65 shipped
            Kteller Piping kit: 279 shipped
            O2 Bungs: 8 shipped
            Flexpipe for 3" DP: 30 shipped
            DP was made from 3" SS that I had laying around.

            Labor: 400 bucks.

            Word of advice, get a quality Muffler. Seriously. Otherwise, bring in the noise and bring in the funk.

              I dunno I was thinkin along the terms of Megan N1. I havent heard anything bad about that one. I would get the genuine apexi but 220 or so for a muffler is a bit much.

                i'm fixing to redo my exhaust..and i'm in the same boat as you..i don't wanna spend 220 for just the muffler but i also don't wanna go cheap and sound like a bumble bee either.

                    i bought my Apex-i N1 turbo muffler for about $190 with shipping on ebay, and i picked up 12ft of straight 3" stainless steel piping plus 3 90* bends and 1 45* bend for $90 at the local scrap yard and welded it all up myself with help from my friend...
